Practical support for humanitarian organizations funded by institutional donors

I help you meet your donors' requirements, show what your program achieved, prepare new projects and respond properly when something goes wrong.

INDEPENDENT CONSULTANT

Services

I work mainly with organizations funded by institutional donors, helping them meet their donors' requirements and prepare new projects. I also carry out work on behalf of donors, such as monitoring, evaluations and investigations.

Donor compliance

Making sense of your award, putting the right policies and procedures in place, and checking that they work in practice. Including US federal assistance under 2 CFR 200.

Training

Helping your team understand the conditions in the award you signed, and what they mean for daily work.

MEAL

Monitoring and evaluations for organizations and donors, and reporting that shows what a program achieved, in the way the donor requires.

Assessments

Feasibility and needs assessments for new projects, groundwork for tenders and funding applications, and help writing the proposal.

Investigations

Independent investigations of misconduct allegations, accidents and incidents, and quality review of investigations carried out by others.

Interim management

Cover for program or country management roles for up to one month, in the field, at head office or remotely, during a vacancy, a leave or a critical phase.

How I work

Tailored

I start from your award, your program and your team, not a generic checklist.

Practical

Policies, reports and advice that your staff can use, sized to your organization.

Independent and confidential

Findings are based on evidence, and sensitive information stays protected.

I'm Eva Veble

I have more than 25 years of experience in mine action and civilian protection, in field, country and headquarters roles, most of it abroad with Norwegian People's Aid. In that time I have worked with many different donors, including more than 10 years managing the US Department of State portfolio at Norwegian People's Aid.

I served on the IMAS Review Board, which oversees the International Mine Action Standards, and on the Mine Action Review Advisory Board. I have training in 2 CFR 200, and I now work independently from Maribor, Slovenia.

I know how donor rules look from inside a program, and what a report or an investigation needs to stand up to scrutiny.
